Web site "Patient Safety"
"Patient Safety" has its roots in the Hippocratic oath and the motto "primum nil nocere" which is dated to the first century AD. However, only since the publication of the IOM-report "To err is human" in the year 2000 has patient safety moved into the focus of attention. Internationally and in Germany many organisations, initiatives and research projects were founded to prevent adverse events and improve patient safety. With the goal of offering an overview and guidance in the rapidly growing field of patient safety, this web site was set up.
Aims of the web site "Patient Safety":

- to provide a discussion forum
- to offer a Critical Incident Reporting-System
- to bundle information about journals, publications and congresses

The editorial office is supported by an advisory council.
